Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Telemetry Unit in Michigan, requiring a MI RN license and strong cardiac monitoring skills.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Position is in a 54-bed main cardiac telemetry unit of a hospital
• Patient population includes heart failure, heart attack (STEMI/NSTEMI), stroke needing cardiac monitoring, arrhythmias, chest pain, and occasional overflow medical patients
• Use of cardiac monitors and management of cardiac drips is required
• Patient assignments may increase to 1:7 ratios during high workload periods
• PCA support is available on the unit
• Shift is 4x12 hour days, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Required to work every other weekend
• Must work two out of three major holidays during assignment
• No call requirements
• Floating may be required within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Charting is performed using Cerner Powerchart and Cerner experience is required
• Cardiac, telemetry, and drips management are core responsibilities
• Remote and bedside cardiac monitoring is performed
• Up to 8 hours of pre-start online modules must be completed within 1 week of signing
• Scrub color required is Caribbean Blue
• Professional conduct and attendance are strictly enforced, with contract termination possible for violations
• A maximum of 10 days RTO is allowed; if RTO includes a holiday, traveler must work at least one holiday
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active MI RN license or willingness to participate in licensure project
• Minimum of 1 year recent RN experience
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS (can be pending at time of submission)
• Cerner charting experience is required
• Travelers must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Past travelers must have a 3-year gap before returning
