Structural Steel Detailer / Checker
Location: Lodi, CA
Pay: $36–$40/hr (Based on Experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (On-site)
Type: Temp-to-Hire
Balance Staffing is currently seeking a Structural Steel Detailer/Checker for a leading company in the Lodi, CA area. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and check shop drawings for structural and miscellaneous steel projects
Ensure drawings comply with AISC Code of Standard Practice for Steel Buildings & Bridges
Utilize AutoCAD, Tekla, and related design software for detailing work
Perform hands-on detailing as needed
Work closely with project managers, fabricators, and erectors to ensure drawing accuracy
Complete documentation and reports using Microsoft Office (preferred)
Adhere to all safety and quality standards on the job
Qualifications
2–5+ years of experience in structural steel detailing and/or checking
Strong knowledge of AISC standards and codes
Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Tekla software
Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
