Job Description

This opportunity offers a rewarding role working as a Special Education Teacher specializing as an Intervention Specialist for 6th grade students at the middle school level. The position is based in Hamilton, OH, and runs on a contract basis from August 20th through May 29th, with teacher reporting starting on August 15th.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing specialized instruction and support for 12-15 students with diverse learning needs.
• Co-teaching in four different classes to support inclusive education practices.
• Delivering direct services independently in one class period to address individualized education plans.
• Collaborating with general education teachers and support staff to foster a positive and effective learning environment for all students.

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Valid certification in Special Education with an Intervention Specialist endorsement.
• Experience working with middle school students, particularly 6th grade, in a classroom setting.
• Strong ability to develop and implement individualized instruction and interventions.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to co-teaching.
