As a Airport Security Officer in Kailua Kona, HI , you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure airport environment by monitoring airport premises, conducting security patrols, and enforcing access control procedures. Your presence and attentive customer service will contribute to a positive atmosphere, while your communication skills will support the needs of the community. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with a bonus of $2.72. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Requirements: 

• 21 + Years of Age
• Valid Driver's License 
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam
• Must also have the ability to pass a federal background check for DOT 

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance concerns encountered during patrols.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management, site personnel, and/or law enforcement as needed.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist visitors and employees with directions and general information as needed while maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
