Now Hiring Part Time School Bus Drivers for the City of Stamford

As a First Student Part Time School Bus Driver you will play a vital role in your community and the lives of the students you transport. You will be there at the start of the students' day with before-school pickup and at the end with an afternoon shift to bring students safely back home.

No experience as a bus driver is required! We're proud to train you with our industry-leading technology to help you succeed.

Your day will include:

• A split shift, which means an early morning before-school pickup route for 3 schools and an after-school drop-off route for 3 schools with a few free hours in between
• Am and PM routes each consisting of up to 3 hours each shift*
• School holidays off including 8 paid holidays*
• Additional hours gained through trips and charters or summer school routes when available
• Get bonus pay for completing scheduled routes safely with Weekly Attendance and Safety Bonus*

School Bus Driver benefits:

• $140 per day ($70 per AM or PM shift to start).
• 5 hours of split shift for the day.
• Jump to $92 per AM or PM shift after one year of service**($184)
• Weekly Attendance Bonus- $125 per week ($25 per day)
• Medical, Dental, & Vision Benefits plus 401k Retirement Savings Plans (after one year) (Benefits offered may vary by location or CBA) *
• $3,500 Sign On Bonus for Experienced Drivers containing CDL with P and S endorsements.
• 5 paid time off days plus 2 floating holidays**
• Local shuttle service available for employees.
• No experience necessary. We offer paid CDL training!
• Depending on the room in the bus, ride along for your kids will be available for ages 1 year plus.

• Have a valid driver's license for at least 3 years.

This position is subject to DOT drug testing as a safety-sensitive employee. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
