Kinsa is recruiting for a Food Safety Manager
Location: Minneapolis, MN (Onsite, relocation assistance)


Our client is a top provider of sushi to retailers. They are looking to add a Food Safety Manager to their growing team. In this role, you will ensure their products remain safe and meet the high-quality standards expected by customers. Your success will be critical to the success of the company.

• 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in seafood or meat. Bachelors degree.

Compensation/Benefits:

• $80-100K base salary

Key Responsibilities and Goals:

• Make sure food is prepared as per the Food Operating Manual's SSOP's and SOP's. Recommend changes to processes as needed to ensure a safe food product. Ensure SQF compliance.
• Train and effectively communicate food safety policies and practices to all company employees.
• Develop, maintain and audit policies, processes and training records to ensure better systems. Monitor, report, and direct appropriate corrective/preventive action plans with cross-functional partners (Operations and Production).
• Provide leadership on quality programs and training with business partners, including product accountability, net weight control, HACCP, GMPs and CCP's.
• Act as primary point of contact and leads Quality programs and training at manufacturing sites: product traceability, weight control, HACCP, GMPs, Sanitation and Regulatory Compliance.
• Oversee compliance and work with government agencies to ensure that all standards and regulations are met or exceeded. Ensure that product labels conform to all requirements and recommendations.

Competencies Needed for Success:

• A Bachelors degree.
• 3+ years of relevant experience. Sushi experience preferred, otherwise meat or seafood experience.
• Strong SQF, HACCP & PCQI experience. Certifications highly preferred.
