Job Title: EPIC Application Analyst I – Acute Clinical Documentation We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative EPIC Application Analyst I to support our Acute Clinical Documentation systems. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to grow their career in healthcare IT while working closely with clinical and operational teams to enhance electronic medical record (EMR) functionality. Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field; or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years of experience with large-scale enterprise information systems. 1–2 years of EMR application support experience preferred. EpicCare Inpatient Clinical Documentation (ClinDoc) certification required. Functional understanding of clinical documentation workflows. Progress toward Epic certification is encouraged. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Adaptability to changing operational and regulatory needs. Strong sense of ownership and accountability. Resilience under pressure and ability to perform in time-sensitive situations. Clinical background is a plus. Essential Job Duties: Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective EMR configurations. Perform basic routine configuration tasks under direct guidance to support clinical workflows. Work under close mentorship from senior analysts to develop technical and workflow expertise. Assist with system testing, validation, and go-live support. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, evaluating their impact on integrated applications. Track project milestones, maintain documentation, and escalate critical concerns as needed. Ensure regulatory compliance under guidance from clinical leadership and senior analysts. Participate in system upgrades, patching, and optimization efforts. Support resolution of production issues, maintaining documentation and adhering to change control procedures. Proactively troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate incidents and requests. Maintain relationships with hospital application vendors to stay informed on product updates. Contribute to training materials and provide training support when required. Demonstrate working knowledge of clinical workflows to inform system design and troubleshooting. May be required to work extended hours during critical issues and participate in on-call rotation. Remote work may be permitted with manager approval; onsite presence required for key events.
