Job Description

BayCare Medical Group , the leading physician-led, multispecialty group in the Tampa Bay region, is seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Endocrinologists to join our growing team across three well-established locations: Clearwater (Morton Plant Hospital), Tampa (St. Josephs Hospital), and Winter Haven (BayCare Gessler Clinic). Each site offers a unique setting, collaborative culture, and the opportunity to practice high-quality, patient-centered endocrinology.

Practice Highlights

Clearwater Morton Plant Hospital

  • Join an established, respected team of 3 Endocrinologists
  • Shared 1:4 call promoting work-life balance
  • Campus-based practice with easy access to imaging, labs, and multispecialty collaboration
  • Inpatient consults and outpatient care for a wide range of endocrine disorders including pituitary, adrenal, and thyroid conditions

Tampa Pharmacy Specialty Clinic at St. Josephs Hospital

  • Team includes an Endocrinologist, APRN, clinical pharmacist, and coordination with BayCare Pharmacy
  • Serve BayCare team members and dependents with diabetes no insurance or billing barriers
  • High-volume, high-impact diabetes care with access to free medications, DME, education, and appointments
  • Strong focus on diabetes education, population health, and health outcomes

Winter Haven BayCare Gessler Clinic

  • Established outpatient-only practice with no hospital call
  • Collaborate with on-site primary care and specialty providers
  • Practice across from Winter Haven Hospital, a thriving Central Florida location
  • Ideal for both new graduates and experienced endocrinologists

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care for a broad range of endocrine disorders including diabetes, osteoporosis, thyroid, adrenal, and pituitary diseases
  • Perform initial evaluations, diagnostic interpretation, hormone therapy, and long-term management
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including PCPs, pharmacists, specialists, and educators
  • Engage in community outreach, research initiatives, and continuous quality improvement
  • Educate patients and families about disease management and lifestyle modifications

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism by the American Board of Internal Medicine
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Active Florida medical license or eligibility to obtain
  • Strong communication skills and a patient-first approach to care
  • Passion for collaborative, evidence-based practice in a dynamic team environment
