Job Title: Electrician Lead B
Location: Pascagoula, Mississippi General Function: The Electrician Lead B is responsible for directing a team of craft electrical employees engaged in production, repair, or material handling processes to meet company quality, safety, and scheduling standards. Working under the direction of a Foreman, Superintendent, or other management personnel, this role ensures optimal team performance and job completion in a cost-effective and compliant manner. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: • Assign and coordinate daily tasks for hourly electricians. • Record and submit timekeeping data for hourly employees. • Monitor progress, provide technical support, and resolve operational issues. • Assist with planning procedures, manpower, tools, and equipment needs per project drawings. • Ensure adherence to installation standards, quality benchmarks, safety protocols, and cost control. • Monitor and document electrical equipment and system installation progress. • Confirm that all installations are mechanically complete and ready for startup, testing, and commissioning. • Manage proper handling, calibration status, and security of test equipment and tools. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Ability to track and report key job activity data to foreman: e.g., cable tray/cable lengths installed, equipment setup, terminations, manpower and hours per task. • Understanding of hazardous area classifications and appropriate IP rating applications. • Proficient in reading engineering schematics, wiring diagrams, and vendor documentation. • Ability to identify deviations from specifications and proactively escalate or correct. • Strong planning and forecasting skills regarding equipment, materials, and labor requirements. • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook). • Familiar with current industry codes and standards: DnV, ABS, USCG, API, MODU, NEC, IEEE, IEC. • Effective communication, leadership, and team development capabilities.
