DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this position, you will assess the driving skills and knowledge of applicants by administering both written and practical driving tests. Your responsibilities will include evaluating their comprehension of traffic laws and ensuring they can exhibit proficient driving capabilities. Attention to detail is crucial as you will review various documents, such as applications, birth certificates, Social Security cards, marriage certificates, court documents, proof of residency, and official documents from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service, Department of Homeland Security, and U.S. State Department, as well as those from foreign countries, to verify their authenticity.
You will also access multiple systems and databases to confirm identity documents, establish an individual's identity and eligibility for a driver's license or identification card, and identify potential fraud to prevent identity theft. Additionally, you will process test results and applications, issue driver licenses and identification cards to qualified applicants, and provide information regarding renewals, duplicates, out-of-state transfers, motorcycle licenses, and commercial driver's license requirements and restrictions.Work Schedule and Additional Information:
