Job Description Job Description Controller Duties at JC BAR Properties, Inc. Responsible for the Accounting and Technology functions, providing leadership to one-to-two-person direct staff, and multiple other team members. Work closely with President, CFO, executive leadership, property managers and business partners to ensure execution of business strategies. Manage and perform general ledger accounting, financial statement preparation, cash flow management, accounts receivable, and budgeting. Lead due diligence process for acquisitions/dispositions including financial analysis, lease review/abstracting, and conversing with brokers/buyers/sellers. Point-of-contact for accounting/property management software. Lead all Yardi module implementations, maintain software controls/updates, and act as systems administrator. Oversee A/R process and ensure rent collections remain consistent. Ensure internal controls are updated appropriately and separation of duties are maintained. Manage multiple entities and projects simultaneously. Oversee year-end processes including CAM reconciliations and 1099 processing. Provide support to external auditors/tax preparers.
