Construction Site Superintendent
Company: Brave New World Services
Type: Full-time • Travel required
Focus: Occupied facilities, tenant improvement/fit-out, renovations (including healthcare and federal)
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
General Site Management Duties:
• Provide coordination and on-site supervision over all field operations on projects.
• Collaborate with clients, design team, and contractors for process success.
• Participate in meetings with client and design team to discuss schedule and field topics.
• Responsible for completing daily/weekly reports, maintain photo journal of progress,
ensure accidents are properly investigates and promptly reported
• Assists in resolving all issues/conflicts related to daily construction activities (e.g., vendor
contracts, work orders, job progress, design, RFI’s, RFP’s, submittals)
• Make recommendations to upper management on how to improve the customer
experience and construction process.
Safety:
• Oversight and implementation of the Company’s safety program and ensure adherence to
safety standards at the work sites and identification of hazards through safety inspections.
• Conduct ‘Toolbox Talks’ with the trade partners weekly.
• Manage and develop ICRA.
Quality Control:
• Assist with overall project Quality Control / Quality Assurance
• Review submittals, shop drawings, product data, and test reports.
• Assist in developing, resolving, and managing RFI’s.
Schedule:
• Spearhead schedule management in the field.
• Assist with the development of the projects schedule.
• Develop and manage phasing plans
• Assist with the project schedule monthly update report.
• Create and update ‘look ahead’ schedule.
• Evaluate construction progress and validate schedule progression.
Preconstruction:
• Assist with development of preconstruction plans.
• Develop and manage site logistics.
• Assist project manager in subcontractor buyout.
• Review and assist in writing trade scopes of work.
Requirements:
• OSHA 30
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction field management/supervision.
• Experience in the construction of occupied facilities.
• Experience in tenant improvement/ fit out/ renovation type work.
• MS Office Suite knowledge and excellent computer skills
• Proficient in MS Project Scheduling
• Ability to work on federal government properties.
• Travel is required.
Preferences:
• 4- year college degree in construction management or engineering
• EM 385 Certification
• Federal Government Experience
• Healthcare Experience
