Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate individual to join our team as a Community Support Worker. If you're someone who thrives on connecting with others, loves to think on your feet, This role is ideal for someone who is sociable, resourceful, and passionate about working with adults and children. As a Community Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our clients by assisting them in accessing various resources and services within the community. This position offers a high degree of variety in job tasks and scheduling flexibility, with the majority of work conducted outside of traditional office settings.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with clients to assess their needs and develop personalized support plans; Assist clients in accessing resources related to independent living, employment, education, socialization, and recreation.; Work with both children and adults to promote their overall well-being and integration into the community; Build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders, including local agencies, schools, employers, and healthcare providers; Provide advocacy and support to clients in navigating systems and overcoming barriers.
Qualifications and Requirements: We require candidates to have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Candidates should have experience working with diverse populations and demonstrate cultural competency. Reliable transportation and flexibility to work non-traditional hours are also necessary.
