Job Overview At Hyatt, we believe our guests select Hyatt because of our caring and attentive associates who are focused on providing efficient service and meaningful experiences. Event servers are responsible for making the function space visually appealing and presenting the menu offering for the event. This may include linen and table setting, food station design, and beverage service. Other duties include general banquet preparation, room refreshes and maintaining a sanitary environment. Strong knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette. Working knowledge of the appropriate table settings, service-ware, and menu items. Ability to read, speak, write and understand English sufficiently to understand menus, special promotions, and communicate with guests to explain and record orders.
