Job Description

Our client is seeking an Associate I Payroll to join their team. As an Associate I Payroll, you will be part of the Payroll Department supporting internal teams and external tax vendors.

Job Title: Associate I Payroll

Location:  Abbott Park, IL (100% Onsite)

3 Months Contract + Extension 

Pay Range: $24 to $27/hr on W2 

What's the Job?

• Perform payroll tax processing with a focus on federal, state, and FICA taxes
• Work on tax notices, collaborate with tax providers, and manage third-party authorizations
• Coordinate with state agencies and handle multi-state tax issues
• Utilize Microsoft Office Suites, especially Excel, for data management and reporting
• Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and external vendors

What's Needed?

• High school diploma with 2-3 years of payroll tax experience
• Solid foundation in payroll taxes, including federal, state, and FICA taxes
• Experience with payroll tax filing and handling tax notices
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with project testing and working with external tax vendors
