If so, we encourage you to apply for our Assistant Sports Coach position with Amazing Athletes of Greater Charlotte! Purpose / Mission Amazing Athletes is a youth sports enrichment program that focuses on teaching kids ages 18 months to 12 years old the basics of 10 different sports and activities (Baseball, Basketball, Football, Golf, Hockey, Lacrosse, Soccer, Tennis, Track and Field, Volleyball, and many more) with an introduction to nutrition, muscle identification, and development of key motor skills. Duties and Responsibilities Following the established Amazing Athletes curriculum, the primary responsibility for this position is to assist head coaches in teaching the basics of different sports, activities, nutritional information, muscle identification, and basic motor development skills to kids ages 18 months to 12 years Coach will travel throughout the Greater Charlotte area to different daycares, preschools, and public/private elementary schools to teach classes Tracking attendance, keeping records of child progress, and maintaining positive relationships with center staff, directors, parents, and other Amazing Athletes staff are other important areas of responsibility Ensure the safety of all participants while in the care of Amazing Athletes Assistant coaches will give support to head coaches and occasionally fill in as the head coach when needed. Working Conditions Candidates must be able to stand, bend down, and move for extended periods of time, often outdoors. Must be able to pull / carry up to 40 lbs. Schedule given with notice. Work Locations Preschools, Day Cares, Public and Private schools, parks in the greater Charlotte area, including the Fort Mill, Rock Hill, and Huntersville areas. Required Qualifications / Experience Must be 18 years of age to apply High School Diploma Able to pass both NCDHHS Background and SCSLED Checks Those who have their NCDHHS background already cleared and approved will be considered first 1-2 years of childcare experience Background in or knowledge of sports Have reliable transportation for travel to and from locations (mileage reimbursement*) Applicants will need to have access to a mobile smart device in order to access class rosters and schedules Compensation $15/hr for Assistant Coach hours $20/hr for Head Coach hours Paid biweekly Mileage reimbursement for travel Holiday pay *Subject to Compensation Agreement #J-18808-Ljbffr Amazing Athletes
